The Dreaming Series is the latest chapter in The Perth Mint’s prestigious Discover Australia coin program depicting iconic aspects of Australian wildlife, landscape and culture. Scheduled for release between 2009 and 2011, the beautiful new series comprises pure gold, silver and platinum proof coins depicting Indigenous designer Darryl Bellotti’s unique interpretations of 15 Australian animals.

This set comprises all five 2009 coins struck by The Perth Mint from 1oz of 99.9% pure silver in proof quality.

Australian Legal Tender

The coins are issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965 .

Animal Designs With Colour

The coins’ reverse designs depict unique interpretations of a kangaroo, dolphin, king brown snake, brolga and echidna. Each design is enhanced with a coloured representation of the landscape or environment.
