Asahi is a Tokyo-based refinery. In 2014, Asahi Refining acquired the Johnson Matthey Salt Lake City operations and greatly enhanced their operations.

They also operates facilities in the United States, Mexico, Canada, and Chile and have been around since 1952. Asahi Refinery uses x-ray fluorescence to test all of its precious metals which allows the technicians to produce products of superior quality.
